Leesburg Virginia is the Celebrate Local November Small Town of the Month. Leesburg, the county seat of Loudoun County, was built in 1740. It is named for the Lee family (ancestors of Robert E Lee). It is the sweet historically preserved old town in the middle of bustling Loudoun County. It is 33 miles from Washington D.C. at the base of the Catoctin Mountain. The Federal Aviation Administration’s Washington Air Route Traffic Control Center is in Leesburg. Leesburg has grown quite a bit in the last 30 years making it a sought after place for commuters to live. It is a beautiful small town with plenty of options for for a fun day or night out. It has an array of restaurants, cafes, bars, breweries, boutiques and chic home décor stores. Take a stroll down King Street and enjoy all of the amenities the Leesburg has to offer.
