Kim Childers is a middle school Language Arts teacher in Fauquier County. She is also the mother of four amazing children. The best part about being a mother for Kim has been seeing her kids growing and changing. They are each so different. She loves watching them figure out who they want to be and focus on what they love to do.
Kim believes that having kids who have been through middle school helps her relate to the kids she teaches and vice versa. Being both a mom and a teacher has taught her the importance of being patient and consistent. One piece of advice she would offer other working moms is to find the perfect work/home balance.
I love my kids, I love my job, and I believe I have found that happy balance. Being on similar schedules definitely helped with that.
