Are you ready? From June 22nd thru June 25th, Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue will once again host its carnival. This local organization promises great food, games, and rides. The Firemen’s Parade will be on Thursday, June 23 at 6:45 pm.
Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue was established in 1952 and is still proudly serving the counties of Culpeper, Rappahannock, and Fauquier with critical emergency medical care and fire fighting capabilities. Regardless of the time of day or the weather outside, they are ready to serve the community they love. Its mission is to serve the community by protecting life, property, and the environment through prevention, health, education, and timely incident response.
Rappahannock County has seven volunteer fire departments, one of which is Amissville. This volunteer unit supports the neighboring counties of Fauquier and Culpeper due to its geographic location so close to the county boundaries. Support from the community keeps this volunteer fire and rescue organization running. This carnival is a fundraiser. Please show your appreciation to this organization by attending, volunteering, or offering financial support.
